Location

If you want to rent a holiday home between the Cinque Terre and the Poets’ Gulf, the Blackberry Cottage is the perfect location. It is in a wonderful position on a hillside, about 300 meters above sea level, with an amazing view over the Gulf of La Spezia. The cottage is reached along a 700 meters private road (or a track if you are on foot) from the main road linking La Spezia to the Cinque Terre.

The property covers about 2,000 square meters and it is enclosed within stone walls. It is set in a landscape of olives trees and Mediterranean scrub, and it is the last cottage of a small hamlet, thus enjoying seclusion without being isolated.

A car is a must for someone renting the cottage. Although the sea, the shops and the tourist attractions are not far away, the local bus service is neither frequent nor convenient.

Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Portofino and Genoa are all destinations easily reachable on a day trip by car, or by car and train. To go to the Cinque Terre we suggest using the train, parking the car just under the station at La Spezia, about 6 km from the Blackberry Cottage. If you like hiking, then you can join the walking paths directly from the house and visit the Cinque Terre National Park on foot (if you are fit!), or take the car to Riomaggiore or Manarola and start exploring from there..

Pisa international airport, a Ryanair destination, is within an hour from the house. Have a look at the interactive map to understand better where you could spend a wonderful holiday.

As a base for hiking, sightseeing or just to relax it can hardly be bettered, enjoy your holiday in Cinque Terre at the Blackberry Cottage!

The marvelous Cinque Terre

The Cinque Terre is one of Italy's most interesting National Parks because it combines perfectly Nature and Man. Over the centuries man changed the natural environment and created beautiful cultivated terraces.

Its marvelous five hamlets, facing a uncontaminated sea, have become a World Heritage.
